You can't block an area code, you can block single phone numbers or you can speak to your carrier to see if they can help

You can ask your carrier if there's a filter to block cold calls
You can’t block all spam callers from 1 area code. If you are getting too many spam calls, you can contact your carrier and they might let you get a new number for free.
Obviously not all spam callers will be removed, but it can reduce the amount. I had a phone number before and I would get at least 1 spam call a day and I got a new number and now I only get approximately 1 per month.
No getting a new number won’t stop spam callers
