How can I change the font style in the notes app on iPhone?

I am constantly using the notes app and frustrated every time because I can’t change the text style/font. I have scoured the internet in the hope of finding a solution only to be disappointed over and over. I know how to underline, italicize, bullet point and create a table but for some unholy reason I cannot change the actual font style, color or size of text. So before I download a different app that allows me to personalize my notes, I figured I’d ask, HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE FONT?

Honestly, I am becoming more and more disenchanted with Apple. I have the iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, Apple Watch and I often find myself jealous of friends devices (that are not Apple) because they can easily customize any content. It is also infuriating to have apps on my iPhone and iPad that I can’t have on my MacBook. I am seriously considering going back to being a PC!

Short answer: you can't.

If you need so much format control, use other apps like Pages or even Microsoft Word that can let you customize the fonts, sizes, colors etc.. of any text.

Notes is primarily designed as basic notes taking app. Its not really all that common for people to need so much formatting with basic quick notes.

There are of course a ton of other notes apps on the app store with more features and options. You may want to look at one of those. Including Google Keep, if you want something similar to Android, and its free.

i appreciate the reply. I don’t need or want that much formatting all I have ever wanted is to simply change the font. You can do so much formatting in notes but you can’t change the style, size or color of the actual text. It’s frustrating, especially when you get an update like 17. A decade of having iPhones and you still cannot change or personalize text. I did get a great app, Microsoft OneNote, it totally rocks without any condescension. Which has cemented my decision to return to PC and spend my money on products that are ethically sourced. Two birds one stone. Thank you for helping me finalize my decision.

Threat's don't work here. We have no investment in what device or software you use. If you find Microsoft suits your needs better than Apple, then by all means switch to that.

You can change the size and a bit of stlye between specific types, like Title, Heading, subheading etc... by tapping on the Aa icon at the top of the keyboard.

There's nothing unethical about having less features than what you are looking for.
