Set APN name in Personal Hotspot settings

Hi to all,

I have a specific problem.

I'm using a MDM platform and I want to change APN settings for "Cellular Data" and Hotspot Mobile" regarding iPhads and iPhones.

I'm able to set a APN for "Cellular Data" from MDM platform, but I didn't find a way to change the APN of "Hotspot Mobile".

I tryed also to push a custom xml file for this profile but I didn't know how to change the APN of "Hotspot Mobile".

Anyone can help me?

The APN for Hotspot should use the one you set for Cellular Data, as the hotspot feature uses cellular data.

Hi, this behaviour seems not apply to my case.

I how you the xml code that describe my profile, in this way I notice a change in iPhones and iPads only for the Cellular Data, the Hotspot APN remain the same, didn't change.

I also show you the Cellular configuration section. I use as MDM, Workspace One.

I also tryed to add another APN (under the APN list) but this dont' work.

Further, if I enable the "attach APN", don't work.

Ok thank you for the reply. I see that if I connect with a device to my iPad hotspot, if I use website "whatismyipaddress" to see public IP address from iPad and from the connected device, I can see the same public IP address. So this means that the APN used for cellular data is the same of personal hotspot, also if in the iPad APN settings, in APN hotspot remains the wrong APN name.
