Google black screen

I’ve recently updated to 17.1.1 on an iphone 11 but have yet to complete the setting up process. Upon switching from chrome app to google and searching for “what changes should i make to my iphone” (hey I remain a “noob/noobie👵🏼) I clicked onto cnet to read their article. Immediately the screen (still in google) went entirely black and remains as such. Whats the problem & how do i fix it?

The webpage is not available Hello. I have literally tried everything I could find on the internet on how to fix this error and I am having no luck. Sometimes I'll be browsing a webiste and then all of a sudden the screen will go black and say, "The webpage is not available". Sometimes I'll get this message right away when I try to go to a site (ex. www.ikea.com). I have an iPhone 13. I am running the latest iOS version (16.1.1). I have cleared the browsing history, cookies, etc. from my Google account and from Safari. This seems to happen only in the Google app on my phone. Does anyone know how to fix this?
