X (Twitter) notifications disappear from notifications center when I open one on iPhone 14 Pro

Hello, I have an iPhone 14 pro running 17.1.1 and as the title suggests, when I have multiple notifications on Twitter on the notifications center and I only open one of them and then get back on notifications center, every other notification is gone like I've read it. As soon as I go to the app with any kind of way, every notification is gone.

This was happening in the past too but only when you were in the notifications tab inside the app. To make the notifications stick on your notifications center you had to close it the app while on "home" open it up again, open up a tweet and live it there. After doing that everything was fixed. Since 22/11/2023 this trick doesn't work.

Have tried everything but results still remain the same. My work requires twitter in a huge capacity and this is completely frustrating.

I deleted the app, closed the phone, started it back up and downloaded the app again to see if that worked but nope. And now I have a second problem. Twitter was moved from "socials" in my library, to "Information & Reading" and that an other huge inconvenience too.

It would be extremely helpful if those 2 issues were resolved. Thanks

Here is what I just posted to X Support:

=============================

@Support Greetings again!

I have now confirmed that becoming Blue Check Verified causes X Notifications on iPhone to disappear . . .

To recap, the problem is that if I tap and open a Notification from X on my iPhone, it opens just fine. However, if I then go back to iPhone Notifications, all of the previously listed X Notifications have disappeared. New Notifications do appear after but the same issue persists.

This issue has been caused by me becoming Blue Check Verified on X. I know this as, once I became Verified the issue started. Then, I updated my X profile to add my photo which causes Verification to be suspended while the changes to my profile are reviewed. During this period of becoming temporarily Unverified, Notifications started working correctly again. Now, after a few days waiting to become again Verified, I am again Verified. As soon as I became Verified again the issue of Notifications disappearing start happening again.

Please work to address this issue as I know I am not the only one. There is an Apple online chat where others are expressing the same issue.

Thanks and Regards . . .

Have confirmed the same thing myself. Kept loosing them when I got the blue checkmark but when I was using my 2nd account that is unverified, notification were not disappearing. My blue checkmark expired and my main account went back to normal and is now able to hold notifications if I open just one. This is so weird. I'll stay unverified if that means I can keep the notifications on the notification center

I don't believe this is an Apple iOS issue. I think it is a bug with the X app on iOS. I've attempted to get a response from @Support on X but there has been no answer. Perhaps the X team will become aware of this issue if everyone sends a comment to the people that you are subscribed to letting them know of the issue. Then, perhaps, those accounts will reach out to X and get it resolved.

Added info - - - while it is clear that once you become Blue Check Verified, this issue appears and, the issue seems to be initiated when a X Notification is clicked, all X Notifications also disappear if you simply open the X app.

Yes, as of today, Feb 27, I am still having the same issue. After multiple attempts to contact X @Support with no response, I replied to someone’s post a couple of days ago from the X app development team who was reaching out for development improvement ideas. I detailed the issue in my Reply. Hopefully this person will look into it. I’d encourage anyone to post their concerns to any major person/influencer you are following X. Perhaps if these major players understand that their Notifications are disappearing they might be incentivized to contact X @Support themselves.

It's with other apps too for example discord but X is the one I need and use the most. And it started happening with no fix just when I got verified. I have a second account too and when I open a notification from the 2nd account, all notifications still remain. But when I switch to my main verified account, all notifications disappear (even the notifications from the 2nd account). The old fix was close the app completely, open it upon the home page, open up a tweet and leave it there and it was able to keep them. But now no matter what I do, it can't

Me too!! I have looked and looked for discussions and threads about this to no avail.

Yes, as soon as I open one notification, all the rest are gone.

For me , it has gone on for at least 6 months. It stays like this continuously, in other words, some people say it works then doesn’t, for me it’s been a long time since it worked properly.

Apple, HELP PLEASE!!!

Yeah it did. You can try it yourself by changing profile picture or something that is gonna me you unverified for a few days. My thought is that it's just apple screwing with Musk. They don't get along that much and they are attacking the revenue that way making me for example not wanting to be verified no more cause of that
