Yesterday the app store opened fine, but today it crashes immediately upon opening it, even after restart and even after setting up a new user and trying it. I am on a MacBook Pro M1 Max running macOS Sonoma 14.1.1.

It is a known issue right now.
Try a different time / day after the holiday and compare your results.

Thank you! I thought it might be an issue with Apple's servers but when I looked it up their site said they were running fine. I'll check again tomorrow.
