problem recovering data from old iMac HardDrive

Hi, i have an old 2TB HDD coming from my old iMac (2018-19) and I have some data I will recover (mainly the Photo Library and some other files) but when I try to mount it with the disk Utility I become this error:

Impossibile attivare “disk6s2”. (com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter errore -119930868)

is there a way to fix that? I tried also Diskdrill but what I need is to 'navigate' in the finder to search what I need to copy on my new computer...

hope you can help.

thx a lot

Then the HD may be damaged beyond repair meaning the data is lost. If it won't even mount that is not a good sign. First Aide is a very poor tool. I would recommend DriveDX (get the free evaluation version) and try checking the drive, if ANY errors appear that simply confirms my hunch.

You should have been backing up the computer using Time Machine and would not be running into this issue. If you do have a Time Machine backup of the old computer then connect that to the new machine and execute Migration Assistant.

You need to provide much more detailed information than what you are telling us so we understand what you are attempting and why. It sounds like you have removed a 2TB disk from a 2018-19 iMac and put it into an enclosure and then attached the enclosure to another Mac and attempting to move the Photos Library to the new machine. If that is NOT what you are doing then please describe in detail what you are attempting to do and the steps you have taken up to this point so we can help you out.

Thanks in advance.
