Carplay Partially Working - Can't switch from carplay to FM Stereo

I have an Alpine ILX-507. Carplay works and sounds amazing. Try to switch to radio and I can't. The only way I can get to the stereo is if I go from Carplay to phone to FM stereo. I tried my son's iphone no issue. Had this happen on both my 13 and 15 when I upgraded. I must have a setting off. Help!!!!

Works - Carplay > Amazon Music > Phone > FM Stereo

Doesn't work - Carplay > Amazon Music > FM Stereo

CarPlay switching sources automatically So clearly this is an Apple issue going on for years with NO fixes. The most recent question about it was a while ago therefore I am starting it again. I really hope there is a fix… Picture this: I am listen to the radio (local or XM). If my phone is connected to CarPlay and I open up an app (any social media app, news apps and even my camera app, among others), it immediately switches audio sources to my phone away from the radio. I do NOT want this to happen. Anyone know of a fix? This did not happen in my 2018 Nissan. And it did not happen in my 2024 Toyota until about two months after I bought it. and I have also upgraded my phone since it started to an iPhone 15. I have tried going in to shut off Bluetooth to those apps that cause it but there is no option to do that. I have reached out to both Apple and Toyota. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Jen

Why does Apple Music switch to Mono in CarPlay? Since getting the 16promax when I connect to my CarPlay the Apple Music starts playing in mono meaning it sound like it’s coming from one speaker after about five minutes of driving it switches to stereo mode and clearly coming out of all speakers. It did not do this on day one (Friday) it started doing this day two Saturday. Is it some new setting on the phone for Apple Music, is it iOS 18 glitch? Anyone else experiencing this odd switch? Carplay cuts radio off I have a Skoda Kamiq 2020, the car supports wired CarPlay. For some reason whenever I switch to my radio, CarPlay takes over and cuts the radio off… it happens only for me, and not for my wife! I have an iPhone 14 Pro, my wife has an iPhone 13, both running the latest iOS version, I have also updated my car information system software a week ago. I’ve tried forgetting the connection between my phone and my car, nothing helped… Any ideas?
