Photos taking up WAY too much space

I recently downloaded a large amount of videos, and then removed a lot of them after transferring them to files. The photos app is still at 8.11 gigs even after I removed all of the photos. I went into recently deleted, tried changing the date for the phantom photos, restarted my iPad, everything. Any solutions?

Photos takes too much space Hi guys, I have had my iPad for just a bit over a week now. I have just noticed that the Photos app takes too much space for the size of the library that I have. I have only uploaded about 250 photos to Photos so far, and when I check the library size of Photos in my iCloud, it shows 1.7GB (which I still find a bit too much given the size of my photos, but I can live with it). However, when I check the storage that the Photo app is using on my iPad, it shows 15GB. How is that possible? Is there a way to “clean cache” for Photos? I don’t have anything in the Deleted folder, either. I’m just really puzzled by this. Thank you for any tips on how to solve this!

photos taking up space on iphone but not many photos on iphone I've been having this problem where photos takes up a ton of space, currently 87.95 GB, but the number of photos and videos actually on my phone is less than 3,000 and no ridiculously long videos either. My phone is also up to date so idk what's going on.

Photos app storage remains the same even after deleting videos on iPhone 14 Pro DELETED VIDEOS BUT STORAGE DID NOT DECREASE Storage was full so it showed me i had 18gb worth of videos, so i created a seperate album for around 10-12gb useless videos and deleted them, but the photos app storage still remains the same.
