iOS 14 pro
icloud has no settings “ticked”to back up. Space used is 1.5 gig of my “free” 5 gig yet it constantly ask me to upgrade and won’t actually backup. I have “Nothing” selected to back up yet get this constant annoyance

you likely do not have enough space to back up into iCloud.
settings - Apple ID - iCloud - iCloud backup - Device Name will show you the current and next backup size.
you cannot select what to backup, it’s automatic

I choose to downgrade back to 5 gigs.
iCloud 5 gig is enough. Don’t upgrade
