Does any know how to disable this feature.
I cant even sign a pdf without having a create a copy of my document. This is terrible.

I don't know how to deactivate it, nor whether it is possible or not. For pdf documents and pictures, I use Exif Cleaner as a workaround. It deletes the file metadata, and consequently the link between the file and Apple Mail.
Hope this helps before a more sustainable solution is implemented.

How can I deactivate the new feature in Sonoma when downloading attachments from Apple Mail, Finder will show the source email and recipient. Clicking the mail icon takes you directly to the original email conversation.
