Why does T-Mobile pin show as incorrect when trading my iPhone?

hi i’m trying to trade in my iphone 13 for iphone 15 pro. i selected the finance option and was asked to type in my wireless number and t-mobile pin. it says the pin is incorrect even though it is not. i called t-mobile to confirm my pin, what else can i do?
