I have an ipad that i locked myself out of> it is saying ipad unavailable. how can i get it reset so I can use it again?

If you lock yourself out of your ipad where the front screen says ipad unavailable what are the steps to reset it to factor settings, so the ipad can be used again?

There is an Apple article that explains what to do if you have forgotten an iPhone or iPad passcode. Click on the following link:If you see an iPhone or iPad unavailable message or Security Lockout screen - Apple Support


If that is not an option, you will need to use a computer. See: If you forgot your iPad passcode - Apple Support
