when I got on Roblox it said update so I clicked it and it put me to the App Store and I put my password in and it said I have to pay with a Visa card and it’s happened on other apps

Free apps are not charged to your payment method, but you still need the payment method on file to download free apps. This is used to verify your identity and to make sure that you are using the correct App Store based on the region of your payment method. Some apps are only available in certain region, so verification is needed.
