My iPhone XS Max has been locked since this after noon

I don't forget my passcode, but the phone wasn't unlocked after I accessed the passcode, it's seem to be apple attempted to lock my phone. I've back U.S from oversea country since Nov 20 2023. The last tried to change my phone was today at noon time, that I still remember those passcode xxxxxx

Apple has no access to your device, and thus can never lock an iPhone. Only you or someone trying to enter a passcode and getting it wrong can lock it.


I’m assume you don’t mean your Apple ID is locked, but the screen unlock passcode isn’t working.


If your device has iOS 17 and you just changed your passcode you may be able to use a previous passcode→Temporarily use your old passcode when you forget your new passcode on iPhone or iPad - Apple Support


If your device has iOS 15.2 or later installed, you can reset it without a computer; check out this link→How to reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when you forgot your passcode - Apple Support. Otherwise you will need a computer:

After restoring the phone using one of the methods above you can restore your most recent backup.
