Screenshot doesnt work properly

When I want to use the screenshot in my MacBook Air (Sonoma 14.1.1) I open it with "command" plus "space", I type "screenshot". A light area appears to select the size of the screenshot I want, the first attempt never works but leaves the light area there. I need to use "command" "space" and type screenshot, this second time, the screenshot will work when I press "enter" but the light area of the first attempt is still there, and will be there until I restart the MacBook. Anyone else is having this trouble?

I leave the screenshot of the whole screen here, with the light area that will be remain on the screen until I restart the computer.
