How do I Unlock iPhone password without Computer?

I possess an iPhone, but unfortunately, I have forgotten my password. I am well aware that usually, one can resolve this by connecting the device to a computer and utilizing iTunes to unlock it. However, in my current circumstances, I lack access to a computer. Consequently, I'm at a loss as to how I can regain access to my iPhone.

Are there any trustworthy methods to unlock an iPhone password without relying on a computer?

With iOS 15.2 or later, Apple introduced a feature that allows you to reset your iPhone and erase it using another iPhone nearby if you forget your passcode. This method requires physical access to another iPhone. In this way, you can unlock iPhone password without computer for sure. Here is the steps:

  1. Bring the two iPhones close to each other.
  2. You should see an option on the locked iPhone's screen offering to reset it using the other iPhone.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen to reset the locked iPhone.

This method is intended to make it easier to recover from a forgotten passcode situation, but it still requires you to erase all data on the device.

First up, if you've set up "Find My iPhone" on your device, you're in luck. You can use another device, like a friend's phone or a tablet, to go to the Find My website or use the Find My app. From there, you can erase your iPhone which removes the password but also wipes the device. It's a bit drastic, but it'll get you back into your phone. Just make sure you know your Apple ID and password to set it up again and restore any data from iCloud if you've got a backup.

Another route is if you're already backed up to iCloud and don't mind erasing your iPhone to start fresh. You can attempt to erase your iPhone directly from the lock screen, depending on your iOS version. On some iOS versions, after entering the wrong passcode a few times, you'll get an "Erase iPhone" option in the bottom corner of the lock screen. This lets you reset it right from there, no computer needed. But again, this option wipes your data.

To erase your iPhone and remove the password without using a computer, follow these steps:

Turn off your iPhone by holding down the Power button until the "slide to power off" slider appears. Slide it to power off your device.

Press and hold the Home button on your iPhone while connecting it to a power source using a USB cable. Keep holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.

Once you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, release the Home button.

Launch iTunes on a computer that you have previously synced your iPhone with.

iTunes should automatically detect your device in recovery mode and prompt you to restore it to its original factory settings.

Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your iPhone. This will erase all data and settings on your device and remove the password.

Note: This method is the last resort, as it will erase all your data and settings on your iPhone. However, it is the only way to regain access to your device without a computer.

Hi, csiv5bisyc.

I would like to tell you that you can still use iTunes or Finder to unlock it even though you don't remember the password, when you put your iPhone in recovery mode, the iTunes or Finder is still able to recognize it, this is what recovery mode design for, and you do need to know, whatever method you use, you will lose data if you don't know the screen password.

Here's how to do it with or without the computer.

If you forgot your iPhone passcode, use your Mac or PC to reset it - Apple Support

If you see a iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro unavailable message or Security Lockout screen - Apple Support

Method 1: Using iTunes to Restore your iPhone (With Computer)

  1. Connect Your iPhone to Your Computer:
    • Use a USB cable to connect your iPhone to the computer that has iTunes or Finder installed.
  1. Enter Recovery Mode:
    • For iPhone 8 or later: Quickly press and release the Volume Up button, then the Volume Down button. Press and hold the Side button until the recovery mode screen appears.
    • For iPhone 7 and 7 Plus: Press and hold the Volume Down button and the Sleep/Wake button simultaneously until the recovery mode screen appears.
    • For iPhone 6s and earlier: Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button simultaneously until the recovery mode screen appears.
  1. Restore Your iPhone:
    • Open iTunes on your computer.
    • A prompt will appear asking whether you want to Restore or Update your iPhone. Choose “Restore”.
    • iTunes will download the latest iOS software and begin restoring your device. This process will erase your data, including the password.

After the restore process is done, your iPhone will be on the "hello screen." If you have logged into Apple ID on your iPhone before, you will be on the "locked to owner" screen, and use your Apple ID to remove it.

Method 2: Use iCloud and Find My iPhone (Without Computer)

If you have Find My iPhone enabled on your device, you can use iCloud to erase your iPhone, which will remove the password.

  1. Go to iCloud.com: On another device (like a friend's phone or a tablet), open a browser and go to iCloud.com.
  2. Sign in: Log in with your Apple ID and password.
  3. Select Find iPhone: Click on "Find iPhone".
  4. Choose your device: Select your iPhone from the list of devices.
  5. Erase iPhone: Click on "Erase iPhone" to delete all data and settings, including the password.

Method 3: Use the Find My App (Without Computer)

If you have another Apple device (like an iPad or another iPhone), you can use the Find My app to erase your locked iPhone. If you don't, you can borrow your friends or family's Apple device.

  1. Open the Find My app: On another Apple device, open the Find My app.
  2. Select your iPhone: Tap on "Devices" and select the locked iPhone.
  3. Erase the device: Scroll down and tap "Erase This Device".

After the process, both method 2 and method 3 will lead you to the "hello screen" or the "locked to owner" screen.

See if above method can solve your problem, if you need more help, feel free to ask. If you need more help, you can check out more article about this in Apple support or google it, they might help.
