There are so many unresolved issues in the community forum that makes it hard to find if an issue is resolved. Could we have a not helpful button in order to firstly keep a spotlight on items not addressed and also to be able to measure the number of unresolved issues in the community.

Another thing to remember: estimates are that there are ~3 million users of ASC, but less than 100 people who have "stayed on" to help others rather than ask questions. With 10s of thousands of questions posted a day, it is impossible for that small and part-time cadre of volunteer tech troopers to handle every question.

Not sure that would work given the current staffing and structure because there are not enough volunteers to handle special cases. Many question have incomplete information and they are more likely to get skipped over . Others are addressed to Apple who are not here other than in moderations roles.

There is one thing where you can have an effect and that is someone posting wrong or dangerous information. Once you reach Level 2, you will have reporting privileges giving you a way to directly alert the Mods. They can then check out the offending post and take action if needed. And you do not have to openly challenge the person who posted such information. Leave it to the Mods.

Glad you are here in these communities. Start responding to user posts to help reduce the number of unanswered/unresolved posts.

We users can not change the way these communities work including adding buttons.

Click Browse on the top of the page and any post that does not have a green checkmark by it has not been marked as solved by the original poster. As stated already, it is up to the original poster to mark there issue as solved and we cannot make them do this even if the suggestions do resolve their issue.

Even without the issue marked as solved, it does give users an idea of what they should try if they search for a similar issue. Other users can mark a response as Helpful, which also gives users an idea of what worked for them.
