On my iPhone I have the options to add

On my iPhone 7 Plus I just added a new CHIPOLO ONE item finder. This went fine by adding this under the separate heading "Objects". I noted that the iPhone itself is showing under another heading called "Units", the latter of which I conclude is reserved exclusively for genuine Apple-products. However when I turn to do the same registation on my laptop, there is only the heading "Units" and no option visible for adding non-Apple-products. What have I missed? How can I solve this?
