Multicoloured lines on the left of my MacBook Air.

Hi. For the past week or so, there have been vertical lines on the left side of my screen and running along the bottom as well. Whenever I try to shut it, they get worse. It's not been in water, damaged, or dropped. Does anybody know how to fix this? It's starting to bother me a lot especially that its not getting better. Thanks 😊
