New Macbook continues to change brightness (Auto is set to OFF)

I have tried Auto Tune on or off, restarted, latest OS, Auto Brightness off.

It still reduces the brightness when I log off and log back on.

I have the new Macbook M3 with the latest Mac OS.

Am I missing something?

Ok. As soon as I shut down or log out and restart the brightness is reduced.
I tried just closing the lid and open it up a few seconds later. That makes the Brightness go down almost to half.

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled.

Login and test. Reboot  as normal and test.  Caches get rebuilt automatically.
