Efficient Note Taking in Pages

Hi,

I am using Pages Note Taking template for general note taking in class or work, etc.

As I am taking notes, sometimes I will add a sub-bullet to expand on something. I want to return to the main "-" quickly without having to visit the format column and change the bullet & list again.

If I press the return key one, it makes another indented sub-bullet. Pressing the return key twice, returns the cursor to the beginning position but with not list formatting.

In the picture below, I am trying to quickly go from the second bullet point ending with "standard" to the hyphen without manually updating the note taking format.
