Sonoma 14.1.1 and Parasound DAC

I have a similar problem to some others posted here since I updated to Sonoma 14.1.1 today. Now my Parasound DAC is recognised in MIDI setup and in Sound settings, but I am unable to get it accepted as the preferred output. Return to previous OS?

Mac mini, macOS 13.2

Sorry - very big user fail! Had the Parasound settings locked in Audirvana! Wasted your time if you are now typing a possible answer. As for me, I’m kicking back with a wine and happily listening 😆
