I bought my dad’s I phone and I am trying to recover his photos, including the hidden ones as he doesn’t remember how to anymore. Is there a special way to recover them? When I place my finger on the 3 dots, it shows a different box but it goes away before it can be touched… lost, dad has bad memory issues but wants his personal photos printed out

Nothing in the box that drops down from the three dots on the Hidden folder photo array has anything to do with "recovering" photos from there.
What is it you want to do with the photos there that you are finding difficult? Print them directly? Un-hide them so you can find them somewhere else?
