IOS 17.1 update fail

IOS 17.1 update fail

I updated yesterday to IOS 17.1 and now I can no longer make or receive or calls.

I have checked all settings, reset network settings, reset the phone back to factory settings in the hope the update would disappear and done everything else anyone has suggested on the internet apart from take it to an Apple Store. Reluctant to do this as it is a distance away and work kind of gets in the way!

Any other suggestions apart from throwing the phone at the wall and changing to an android phone?

Try contacting your cellular carrier (possibly a chief technician), explain your problem, check your SIM (or eSIM) card, check if they have a carrier update for your device.

If the issue still persists, making an appointment (*) at an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider (among this list:-->https://locate.apple.com/choose-country-region ) is your best bet.

Contacting a local Apple Store or AASP among the list provided above;
Using the "Apple Store" app, available and downloadable from AppStore.

I have also taken the sim out and tried it in another phone and it works so it isn’t my network provider
