Error message below Word Documents in Finder

Hi,

have a number of Word files on my MacBook that I have created and written on the MacBook, so not imported. When I put them in a folder in my Finder, I see an "Error" message with a cloud and exclamation mark beneath them. This is not the same for imported documents. This makes me worried that the documents are not properly syncing to iCloud, although they are usually visible on my iCloud Drive. In addition, I cannot change the title of the document when I have it open as I usually would; instead, I have to change the name in the folder where it is stored. Can anyone provide guidance on this issue? My main concern is making sure all my documents are properly stored in iCloud.
