Spilled coffee on macbook...help

Spilled coffee on macbook inside my bag. It won't charge and it is slow. Any suggestons?

MacBook Air 11″, macOS 11.7

Unfortunately, the reality is that coffee made its way inside your MacBook. Even if it completely dries, it could leave conductive residue that can cause further damage to your Mac's internal electrical components.


At this time I suggest two things:

  1. If not already, immediately power down this Mac, and leave it powered-off.
  2. Make a Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have them take a look and provide you with your repair options.
