Unable to send images in Instagram DM after iOS, 17.1 update

After updating the iPhone to the latest iOS, 17.1 update, I am unable to send images in Instagram DM. When I try to upload directly from Photos app, it stays at processing screen and finally, photos app crashes.

Please Note that this behaviour is only for images. I am able to send videos.

iPhone 12 mini, iOS 17

Black screen when trying to share from photos to instagram I have an iPhone 14 Pro. iOS is the latest version available. It is as simple as that, I go to photos, select the photo I wanna share, use the left share icon in the bottom, then I select instagram and then story. The screen just goes black. I can only share the photo if I start from the instagram app. What's happening here ?
