How to NOT Get Charged on Removed/Deleted Card

I saw a similar question posted in the community, but there was no solution or update. So, I'm asking this again.

How do I remove a card completely from Apple Pay/Apple Wallet? And how can I get Apple Pay charges on my new default card instead of the old one?

I, of course, went to Apple Wallet first to delete the old card and replace it with a new card. In the iPhone settings, I see my new card as the default card in the Transaction Default. But when I use certain apps, they keep charging my old card and don't default to the new card. I'm not even talking about monthly billing because these are one-time transactions and purchases.

I contacted the bank, app customer service, and Apple to get refunds. Each of them told me I should contact Apple for the refund, meaning Apple has control over all app charges and to which card. Also, my bank statements indicate that these charges result from APPLE.COM/BILL, so there should be something on Apple account or bill settings to solve this issue.

I tried different methods such as deleting my apps and downloading them again, removing cookies on the apps, restarting my phone, and updating up-to-date softwares.

They all didn't work. Now, I need different and better solutions. Please help solve this issue!

Okay, I think I found the solution!

Apparently, for i-Tunes in-app purchases, removing the card from Apple Wallet isn't enough. You need to go to the App Store app (not the settings) and click on your upper right hand corner profile "Account". Then, click on the name again to go to "Account Settings", and only then we see "Manage Payments" to change the payment method. We need to go into manage payments to get rid of the old card manually. After deleting the old payment method, you can update new payment method. Hope that works!

Okay, your first step should be go to settings on iPhone and delete the card you want to remove and choose another default card to use. That will do the trick for outdoor transactions and other online transactions that are not in-app purchases.

Next, go to App Store app and go to your profile settings to remove payment for in-purchase apps. That will do the trick if you're being charged monthly by some apps.
