My I phone 8 does not support IOS17, will i be able to transfer data to my new Iphone 14?

I read the question as going from a 8 to a 14 iPhone. And the answer is yes. In my case, I went from an iPhone 6S to a iPhone 12 pro and there was a migration process that was easy, I don't recall how that worked to start, but contacts and settings etc, basic data came over perfectly. I found this info that seems like what I did:

You can transfer the dat from the 8 to the 14 without problems.

You can transfer just fine from an older version of ios to a newer version.

What you can not do is transfer from a newer version of ios to an older version.

Transferring data from a higher iOS version to a device that has the lower iOS version is not possible.

iPhone 8 to iPhone 14 with iOS 17 is surely possible.
