Using an imageFORMULA R10 scanner on a Macbook Pro with USB-C only

I want to purchase a Canon imageFormula R10 Scanner to use with my Macbook Pro. However, the scanner is Micro-USB to USB while the MacBook is only USB-C. Is it an option that I can swap out the Canon cord for a Micro-USB to USB-C to get it to work?

Stats are: MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020) 16 GB OS is Big Sur 11.7.1.

Cannot load driver for Canon ImageFormula R40 scanner on MacBook Air Purchased a Canon scanner ImageFormula R40 to scan many business documents. At first I had trouble because the Mac kept saying the CaptureOnTouch app was damaged, no matter how many times I replaced it. I called Canon and they also added a Twain app and we got it to work. But even with the IT Canon person on the phone, we could not get the driver to read. The error message says "cannot load driver". My Mac Booker is last year's purchase and the OS is Sonoma 14.7.2 with the M2 2022 chip. I have the Canon scanner USB plugged into my hub because the Mac BookAir does not have any USB ports. Can anyone help? I need to get this working urgently for a current project. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Looking for help to connect our MacBook Air to our Printer/SCANNER (mostly) We Have a MacBook Air M1 13.4 year 2020. so, it has a micro usb socket/port on it and your MacBook Pro has USB-C.. maybe this will do the job? ( see link)

Thanks, John, I went ahead and ordered the scanner and a replacement cord like the one you mentioned. We'll see tomorrow if that works.
