Using an imageFORMULA R10 scanner on a Macbook Pro with USB-C only

I want to purchase a Canon imageFormula R10 Scanner to use with my Macbook Pro. However, the scanner is Micro-USB to USB while the MacBook is only USB-C. Is it an option that I can swap out the Canon cord for a Micro-USB to USB-C to get it to work?

Stats are: MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020) 16 GB OS is Big Sur 11.7.1.

Sure, pjorde, here’s the support page for that scanner: https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/imageformula-r10-portable-document-scanner

so, it has a micro usb socket/port on it and your MacBook Pro has USB-C.. maybe this will do the job? ( see link)

it’s pretty short though..
