Apple CarPlay

I have been using CarPlay in my Mercedes 2017, worked very well until i updated my i-phone SE to the latest IOS 17. Right after icould not find the way to use CarPlay in the car, i can only use it as i-pod, meaning not very diffrent that regular bluetooth use. It has been been very disapointing, i would not upadte the i-phone if i knew this would happened, I am dependant of CarPlay and its navigational features, as well as music when i have kids onboard. I have read few forums, i could not find the way to get it back.

Any tips? Or maybe maybe Apple could be honest and say whether i can still use it or not?
