Alarms aren’t working in standby mode on my iPhone XS

I did a quick test where I set an alarm and left it (without standby mode) and it worked perfectly fine. Then, I put an alarm on and set my phone on standby mode. My screen showed that my alarm is playing but there was no sound at all! How do I make my alarm sound?
