MacBook freezes when playing Video on External Monitor on MacOS Sonoma

On Ventura OS, my Macbook Pro M1 was working fine. But after updating to Sonoma, whenever I play video on Quicktime Player or VLC Player, macbook won't responds. Video freezes but audio keeps playing.

"Multiple antivirus installed".

Uninstall avast and mcafee and then try again.

These two are not protecting you from anything, and conflicting with system security and each other....

All the stuff in there shows that you migrated everything from the previous mac, and that probably had been upgraded for several years. So you ended up with a lot of system extensions, agents and daemons that are old and useless in your new mac, but possibly causing trouble.

Just an example: you have Silverlight, even though it has been abandoned for years.

You should really consider making a full backup, then do the "Erase Content and Settings", and migrate ONLY the user accounts. Yes, you may need to install a few applications, but you will get your mac to work the way it should, unencumbered by a lot of old cruft.

Are you connecting to an external display? Some people have reported similar problems with external displays, but not when using the built-in display.

I cannot, however, reproduce this.

It is unclear if this a bug in some particular macs, or has to do with something particular to user's system.

Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here. Use the "additional text" button and paste the report into the text box.

Maybe we can see something in the report that could leads us to a solution.
