All of my emails have disappeared how do I retrieve them

Are they iCloud emails or other providers’? You never lose emails, just login your email account on the web and you will find all your emails there, unless you didn’t delete them

I did not delete them and have turned phone on and off and also turned off email account and logged back in but they are still not there
Did you try to login from the browser to see if they are there?
Yes but they are not there
Do you mean all the mailboxes are empty? If it's so someone has deleted them
No just the inbox - sent items are still there
