Auto switch off hotspot based on location

When using hotspot on Macbook air via iphone, is there a shortcut to automatically switch off the mobile hotspot and switch to wi-fi when arriving home or another location with known wi-fi?

Not if you are actively using the hotspot, but if you arrive home, or somewhere else with a known network, and open your mac, it should pick that up automatically.

You can got to System Settings->Wifi, click Advanced... and check which networks it "knows"; for each one, you can click the button next to it, and make sure that "connect automatically" is checked.
