Apple TV iPad app no longer streams 4K video to an external 4K monitor.

The Apple TV app on my 12.9 inch 3rd generation iPad Pro stopped displaying the video for 4K content on connected 4K monitors after the iPadOS 17.1.1 update. It used to work fine before that. Now, sometimes the video will display for a few seconds before going black. The audio continues to play without problems. The iPad connects to my 4K monitor through an Apple USB-C Digital to AV Multiport Adapter and an HDMI cable.

I also have this exact same problem now with the Max app, but after troubleshooting with Max support, we found that the streaming subscription tier changed for cable service provider subscriptions, requiring a Max subscription to a higher tier to permit 4K streaming.

Disney+ displays 4K video and surround sound audio with the same attributes as Apple TV without any problems.

While troubleshooting with Apple Support, the technicians have not been able to find any indication that the Apple TV subscription has officially removed the capability to stream 4K content from iPad Pros. They also were not able to find any problems with my setup. We were able to stream Apple TV video content to a non-4K monitor through HDMI.

Related to Apple TV subscription limitations, the closest thing I can find related to streaming 4K content on Apple TV is: "Not all content is available in 4K or 4K HDR. 4K resolution requires a 4K‑capable device. Accessing Dolby Atmos features requires a Dolby Atmos‑capable system. Playback quality will depend on hardware and internet connection." I used to get 4K video and 7.1 surround sound audio before through the Apple TV app.

How do we get Apple TV engineers to fix this problem?
