Many issues with FCP X 10.6.10

Since updating to FCP X 10.6.10, I've had a number of persistent issues which are slowing me down:

  1. When I try to edit parameters in text generators, plug-ins (like Pixel Film Studios' ProText Kinetic, for example), the inspector pane comes up blank. I need to double-click the top of the pane to expand it to the full screen height, and back again, before any fields become visible in that pane. I should add that I purchsed the PFS plug-in package after the update to FCP X 10.6.10, so it's not a matter of a plug-in being altered by updating to the new version of FCP X. The plug-in set came later and works, just not well.
  2. When selecting a clip on the timeline and trying to Show Video Animation, my playhead jumps to some other part of the timeline and the wrong clip pops up a space for viewing Video Animation keyframes... and that space is black. I can't see any keyframes or anything else in the space where those parameters should be. Not that it matters, because the wrong clip opened anyway.
  3. All existing Projects in one of my Events have disappeared. I use those Projects regularly and so now I've lost a lot of work... once I finish the current project from another Event, I'll try opening up an auto-saved version of my library to restore at least one Project, which I'll need next week.

So far, this has been the most disruptive update I've encountered in terms of sheer quantity of "breaking stuff." I don't have a lot of plug-ins so almost everything I'm encountering is happening to FCP-native functions.

See example of "Show Animation" issue

I captured what I'm experiencing with showing animation parameters on a clip. This time, it actually does show the parameters; all morning, up until now, it would act as you see here, but when I'd scroll back to the clip, it would be a big black space where the parameters should be. I also believe it was opening the wrong clips before now, but this time it opened the right one. You'll see what it does to my playhead in this short screen-cap.

I did as you suggested, Luis (and thank you for showing how to delete preferences — I'm so old school, the last time I did that was in FCP 7, and you may recall what a different process it was back then, so I appreciate the tutorial).

Unfortunately, it did nothing to fix the issue... at least the one I have with "Show Video Animation." It still shoots me way toward the end of the timeline and I have to scroll back to the clip on which I opened the Animation view. It's not opening blank space anymore, but still jumping to the wrong spot on the timeline.
