17.1.1 destroyed Photos app

With the 17.1.1 update, you can no longer easily take a screen shot of a photo without adding a bunch of steps to eliminate the new, unnecessary “crop” button. (I want to keep the original.)

Also, you can no longer scroll horizontally through your photos - they disappear to black or white screens, and/or trigger photosensitivity with a strobe effect.

Please Fix. I am shopping for android options and photo editing alternatives.

How are you taking the screenshots? When I press a volume button plus the side button a screenshot will automatically be saved in Photos and I can view it in All Photos, without having to deal with the floating icon of the screenshot. This floating option to crop will vanish on its own, just ignore it and your screenshot will be saved "as it is". It is just a bit annoying to have to wait a few seconds for the icon of the screenshot to go away.

I am not sure, what you mean by "you can no longer scroll horizontally ...". How are you viewing the photos, when that happens? Are you viewing a photo enlarged in an album and scrolling to the next photo in an album?

That is the plan. But I should not have my current devices rendered more and more useless by Apple changing or disabling the functionality of a thousand dollar device (without user options). The changes were made to reduce image storage on icloud and reduce battery consumption caused by the ‘image rendering’ from scrolling, so that their battery stats look better.
