2019 MacBook Pro K&M won't work with KVM (which says it works with MacOS)

I'm not hopeful for an answer, as I have seen similar questions go unanswered, but hope springs eternal.

Anyone have a KVM that works with a 2019 MacBook Pro to recommend?

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro. I also have several other computers that I need to use: Windows desktop, LINUX, Windows Laptop. I purchased a KCEVE 4x1 HDMI KVM. They say this item works with MacOS. However, when I plug in the MacBook, via a USB-C to HDMI cable and a USB-C to USB-A 3.0. The video shows up, but the Mac won't connect to the keyboard and mouse.

This is especially frustrating, as I was previously using a Startech USB switcher for K&M and had each computer directly plugged into my monitor, and it worked fine, if cumbersome to change both the K&M and video input each time.

I have read nightmare after nightmare about Macs not working with KVMs. And no successful responses from my fellow Mac users, let alone any response from our friends in Cupertino. BUT I thought I'd ask.

Just thought I'd update: as of December 2023, I found a KVM which works with my MacBook Pro. (And my windows PC. Don't have my LINUX rig set up yet, but I feel pretty confident about that one.)

It is the CKLau 4x1 Switch HDMI 4K 60hz. Can't find an official model number called out. BUT it is identified on the side of the box as Model CKLau-64HUA with a UPC of 6957737960715. The ASIN (Amazon ID # - as I purchased it from there) is B07HRBBLWN.

Hope that helps anyone else having the same problem.
