Is the new 10.7 Final Cut Pro update not 2019 Intel Macs?

I have a fully loaded 2019 i9 Intel Mac Book pro.

The new Final Cut Pro 10.7 update came out today with the scrolling timeline etc.

I wanted to update to the new 10.7 version, because I am still on 10.6.10

My macOS version is the latest 14.1.2 Sonoma.

I went to the apple AppStore to update Final Cut Pro... but there is no update available. I opened FCP on my mac to see if there might be some kind of "update your version" in the settings menu. Nothing.

Am I missing something?

I know that Apple is "optimizing" everything for the new Mac chips, etc. but are they not going to release updates for Intel chip Macs? I may just be missing something obvious.

The update is available but sometimes it may not appear right away. It was not showing for me, and this is how I got it: I searched for it in the App Store. In the search results it said “Open”, indicating that a version was seen on my mac (which is normal, given that I hsd 10.6.10 in the Applications folder). I clicked on Final Cut Pro (NOT the Open button!) to open the Final Cut Page in the App Store. There, it said “Update”.

If the above fails, either wait a bit or drag the existing version to the trash (but don’t empty it), then return to the App Store. It will offer you a download and it will be the new version.
