Need help with final cut pro

One major issue I’m having is importing media from my desk top to Final Cut, whilst editing the play back is so choppy it’s impossible to edit!
Please respond to the following four questions.

1. Please write the FCP version, Mac model, and macOS.
2. Import screen where you specify the storage location of the media
3. Preferences > Playback
4. Entire editing screen

The key is to learn by yourself first. There is no one in this world who can teach you from beginning to end.
Could you be more specific about the problems you are encountering as we may be able to help you on this forum.
In the meantime have you seen the free IzzyVideo course of video tutorials?

It is almost certain that there is something relatively simple that you are doing wrong or that is not correct with your computer-macOS-FCPX setup.
Exactly what is the media and how are you importing it from the desktop?
If you give us the information LocaAlicia has asked for there is a good chance we can help at no cost to yourself.
Regarding local help, I only use FaceBook for info about a small school where I taught but I keep being bombarded with ads for local online Final Cut Pro groups, so maybe there is something like that near you.
I think Iain Anderson is in Brisbane. Google him. He’s an FCP guru. If he can’t he’d probably know someone who can.

when I view the videos on desk top they are perfect
Put a request for help up on Airtasker. You'll no doubt get some local responses - but you'd have to be willing to pay.
