When I click on the empty space, the screen unexpectedly clears. I can restore the screen by clicking again, but is there a command to stop the clearing?

FWIW, it's a feature in Sonoma. To disable it, open System Settings > Desktop & Dock and set "Click wallpaper to reveal desktop" to "Only in Stage Manager".

It appears that you have activated one or more Hot Corners.

Are you talking about clicking a blank space on the desktop? If so, that’s normal. It moves everything out of the way so you can access icons on the desktop itself. Clicking the desktop again returns the windows to their previous positions.
Please restart in Safe Mode and then restart normally. If you use a wireless keyboard, please plug in the charging cable so the keyboard has a wired connection to the iMac.
For another problem, I already started my iMac in Safe Mode and then in the normal mode yesterday, but the problem still persists. I use the normal USB wired keyboard. This problem started in Sonoma 14 OS, I believe.
Thanks, your suggestion was helpful, but I realized another situation when my screen unexpectedly clears, and it is not that easy to recover in this case. That is when my cursor hits one of the four corners of the screen. Then the screen clears even if I may be working on a browser at that moment. To recover, I have to click on the sliver of the browser on the right or left extremity of the screen.
When I move my mouse, the screen unexpectedly clears. Is there a possible change?
