How to restore standard calculator?
All of a sudden my calculator app seems to be in scientific mode and is trying to make me pay for premium every time I try to calculate. How do I get the regular free calculator back?

Is this on your iPhone? If so, you are not using the Apple supplied calculator app. The Apple included calculator will switch to scientific mode while being in horizontal orientation, but it is totally free of charge.
