On an iPhone 8, removing someone from your calendar's invitee list can be done through the Calendar app. Here's a step-by-step guide:

1. Open Calendar App:

   - Launch the Calendar app on your iPhone.

2. Access the Event:

   - Find and tap on the event for which you want to remove an invitee.

3. Edit the Event:

   - Tap "Edit" in the upper-right corner of the screen. It looks like a pencil icon.

4. Manage Invitees:

   - Scroll down to the "Invitees" section. Here, you should see a list of people invited to the event.

5. Remove the Invitee:

   - Find the person you want to remove and tap the red minus button next to their name.

6. Confirm Removal:

   - A confirmation prompt will appear. Tap "Remove from Event" to confirm.

7. Save Changes:

   - After removing the invitee, make sure to tap "Done" or "Save" to save the changes to the event.

This process may slightly vary depending on your iOS version, but it should generally guide you through removing invitees from a calendar event on your iPhone 8. If you're still having trouble, ensure that you have the latest iOS updates installed, as new features or changes may be introduced in updates.

If you're not seeing the option to delete or remove invitees directly within the Calendar app, the event might be associated with a third-party calendar, like a shared Google Calendar or another account that's linked to your iPhone. In such cases, you may need to manage the invitees through the calendar service associated with that event. Here's what you can try:

Check Calendar Account:

    • Open the Calendar app.
    • Tap "Calendars" at the bottom center of the screen to see a list of your calendars.
    • Make sure you are viewing the calendar associated with the event.

Access Calendar Online:

    • If the event is associated with a third-party service (e.g., Google Calendar), try accessing the calendar online through a web browser.
    • Remove the invitee from the event through the online interface of the calendar service.

Edit on Another Device:

    • If you have the calendar synced with another device, like a computer or tablet, try editing the event there to remove the invitee.

Create New Event:

    • If all else fails, you might consider creating a new event without the undesired invitees and then delete the original event.

If you didn't create the event and you're trying to remove an invitee, it might depend on the permissions set by the person who created the event. In some calendar systems, the creator of an event may have exclusive control over managing invitees.

Here are a few things you can try:

  1. Contact the Event Creator:
    • If you're not the creator of the event, contact the person who organized it and ask them to make the necessary changes, such as removing the invitee.
  1. Check Permissions:
    • Verify if your calendar app or service allows you to manage invitees for events you didn't create. Some calendar services may have limitations in this regard.
  1. Duplicate and Edit Event (if permitted):
    • If permitted, try duplicating the event and editing the duplicate to remove the invitee. Some calendar apps allow users to edit duplicated events even if they didn't create the original.
  1. Create Your Own Event:
    • If removing an invitee is crucial and you can't edit the existing event, consider creating a new event where you have full control over the invitee list.

The ability to manage invitees for events you didn't create can depend on the calendar service and app you're using.

Remember, the exact steps can vary depending on the specific calendar service you're using. If it's a Google Calendar, for example, you would need to manage the event through your Google Calendar account. If you could provide more details about the calendar service or account associated with the event, I can offer more specific guidance.
