I am trying to connect 2 Dell P2419H monitors. I can see the extended display on both of them, but I want them to show 2 different desk tops. I'm using the Dell WD19TB docking station (and I tried a cheaper one, but it does the same thing).
When I go to the Dell website, it says they don't support driver updates for Mac OS.
Is there anything else I can do besides downgrade to a Windows machine to use the monitors?

Do you have “Displays have separate spaces” set in Mission Control System Settings and it still only extends the display?
The dock could be the problem, also.
The Dell docking stations were not made for anything but Dell computers.
The biggest issue I see is that the 15" MacBook Air only supports one external monitor...not two.
You just need to plug the monitors into the ports on your Mac designed for video.
USB-C ports support DisplayPort and Thunderbolt. The HDMI port supports HDMI only.
You can use adaptors on the USB-C if your displays use something like DVI.

“Displays have separate spaces” is on. I turned it off and logged out and turned it back on and logged out it still only extends the display.
I’ve tried it with the Dell docking station and another. Is there one that is recommended? I want to be able to use the monitors with the lid closed. I have the Apple power cord plugged in.
I’ll look for adapters.
If I can’t get the DisplayLink to work, I’ll have to go this route. Thanks.
