Mint budgeting app going away, what other apps have direct access to Apple credit card transactions?

Monarch money allows for import of Apple Card statements. Has to be done from iPhone app (doesn’t work from iPad or web desktop). Cost is $99 per year I think.

Tiller allows a similar upload of a statement. It is spreadsheet based and works with google sheets and excel (no apple numbers). Cost is $79 per year.

with both you basically download a monthly statement in csv format and then import the data to the tool. Neither are going to show you “real time” data but will be a month after. But, the tools do allow for budgeting and reporting. So if you want to maintain a budget like you did in MINT you can. It will be after the fact data.

Also, both apps will say that it is an Apple issue. The mothership only allowed mint to have access to the card data via an api. Other app vendors have asked, but Apple is not allowing it so far.

Not sure what the big deal is. If 99.9% of the banks allow for this type of api to aggregate the account holder data then why not Apple? The api is unique for each bank type but the software company doing the heavy lifting is one of a few, like Yodlee, Plaid, MX etc.

Hope this helps

I wonder if this is why I can’t add it to my bank’s app. I have all of my “external accounts” linked to show in my main bank account, with the glaring exception of the Apple Card.

However, it used to be there wasn’t even an “Apple Card” available from the list of supported external accounts, but it recently showed up as one I could add in my bank’s app.

Every time I try to sign in (with my Apple ID & password) a loading wheel just spins and spins for a few minutes, and then tells me my credentials may be wrong.

I wonder if they’re just getting ready for when Apple/GS actually starts supporting linking to other banks as an external account. That would be unusual but I’ve seen odder things.

My last thought is maybe because my Apple ID is not at iCloud.com something is causing an error. I just don’t know what’s wrong but would love to have this card show in my bank app.

I guess I’m just wondering if you know if this is even possible at this point or not.

Thanks, and have a great day!
