tried upgrading my laptop once already - it bricked it and I had to reinstall from scratch - did you fix that issue?

the latest upgrade package did not install and I had to reinstall the OD from scratch - not a pleasant experience. So, have you addressed that issue?

We don't address Apple's issues. This forum is staffed by volunteer users who help people with technical issues. As to your problem, most likely what happened is that the OS upgrade got corrupted in the download. How? Did you use Wi-Fi? If so, that often happens. Much better to use a wired Ethernet connection which always works well.
