Apple Maps: Sharing ETA

I’ve shared my arrival time with my girlfriend when driving to her job to pick her up. I do this every time and every time Apple Maps shares my location with her. However one night Ive shared my ETA with her and instead of giving her my exact location it sent a text message instead. “I will arrive at (name of place of work)around 10:52 PM. I’ll let you know if I’m running late.” I have the latest version of IOS and so does my Girlfriend. What could have happened with the software that caused it to change notification type?
