One one hand, Apple says to not charge the phone overnight and on the other hand, you need to leave your phone plugged in for backups to take place. Can I set a specific backup time to avoid their guidance on no overnight charging?

Apple has never said do not charge overnight, please show your source for this misinformation. They 100% recommend charging it overnight.

calm with the “misinformation” charge. It was a mistake on my part to say it was “Apple”. Several articles about safety issues etc while charging overnight. My main concern is that my phone isn’t backing up and I’ve been under the impression it’s not safe to do
so- leave it plugged in all night. My wife’s phone is not plugged in overnight and her phone does backup. I have the same settings turned on as her phone.
